Back on Track

Despite a weak appetite Aidan seems to be back to his little chipper self. He held down everything he did eat today. Hopefully, tonight will be a 12 hours snooze-a-thon! Thanks, for all the overwhelming comments, saying you’re glad he’s okay! ๐Ÿ™„ Okay, that was the needs more sleep cranky Mommy talking.

In happier news Deeder’s Mommy gave me an award! ๐Ÿ˜› The “You Make My Day Award” to be exact! I feel so accomplished!

She wrote a bit about how she tried to make Deeder stand after she read about Aidan standing on his own. When I read that out loud to Dad-Oh he said, something along the lines of “you compare Aidan to Deeder all the time! I have heard you say things like Deeder is doing this and that…you guys should hang out!”

Yes I admit I am guilty! But it’s nice to know I’m not the only one! Aidan has always been a little independent guy. Rarely performing on cue for anything. Aidan, say “ball.” Where’s your tummy? Essentially anything you want him to do he’s either too busy, or too cool to partake in. He says many different words, only on his terms. Lately I have been playing the what does a cow/kitty/pig say game with him. He LOVES the cow! When I started repeating MOO MOO MOO over and over he was thrilled! He would stop and focus all his attention to my mouth, then he took his little hand and felt the sound come out of my lips. Now when you ask him, “Aidan what does a cow say?” He (most of the time!) will stop what he is doing, look at you and say “MMMO.” He doesn’t quite have the double OO sound down but he tries his best! It’s so darn cute!

Duck and Pig

Tomorrow morning we have a meeting with a potential summer time nanny. Unfortunately, Dad-Oh’s fishing season is looming upon us sooner than we’d like! She came highly recommended from friends of ours and nanny’s for another family in the late evenings, and works in her church nursery on Sunday’s. Since we only need her part time the schedule should work out well. We spoke on the phone and she sounds great and really eager!

I AM really glad he’s okay – I was just too distracted by the evilness of the flu shot. Sorry Aidan-Daidan – so glad you’re on the mend! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m so glad Aidan’s doing better! What a worrisome and strange illness….all a part of childhood maybe.
Very cool that you talk about Deeder! I feel honored ๐Ÿ˜€ it’s hard to help comparing two boys who grow at such a relatively close rate, that’s my excuse anyway!

Daddy’s says that NO we aren’t moving to Alaska –my travel nursing idea–because then we’d have to eat blubber and learn igloo people talk. We’ll just have to meet up sometime in Bellingham.
