Parking Lot Playdate

Posted in Buggle Bite, Friends, Motherhood, Parenting, toddler tagged , , at 8:58 pm by Momma

Yesterday morning we were all set to meet Ella and her Mommy at SJ gym. The mission: burn off energy before nap time.

I got a call from Ella’s Mommy saying she was almost there before we had even headed down our crazy hill. Dad-Oh was almost done spreading gravel. Finally, we were off–safely! She called again right before we pulled into the parking lot, saying there was a huge kids karate championship going on inside the gym. Of course, there was….errrr! While Aidan would have more than likely loved watching the kids do karate the battle of keeping him from joining in would have lead to a major meltdown. Mommies know these things! 😛

Can We Be Done Soon?

When I pulled up I saw Ella stomping around in her snow boots. I got Aidan out of the car and think maybe just maybe the kid will enjoy stomping around too. Uh, nope. Pretty much still hates it! We both happened to have the kids’ sleds in the back of our cars so we proceed to have an impromptu sledding adventure in the parking lot of SJ. While neither one of us were any where near prepared for the chilly event we managed to scrounge up a decent-ish time. I had a pair of mittens in the back of my jeep from last winter. They were snug but they were better than nothing! I also had a fleece blanket, so it wasn’t half bad! I knew there was a reason I hadn’t cleaned out my car! I love their matching Old Navy fleece hats!

What Am I a Sled Dog?!

Poor little Aidan Daidan put up with the charade but he made it quite clear he wasn’t having fun! He was very pleased when I strapped him back in his comfy car seat and handed him a Nilla Waffer!

Still Not Having Fun!

T minus 24 days till sunshine buddy! 😎

The Old Navy hats are adorable. Methinks Aidan-Daidan is going to be in the middle of a little love triangle when they get older – between Jazzie and Carly Jo. 😛
