Hungry, Fella?

Posted in Buggle Bite, Motherhood, Parenting at 10:12 pm by Momma

Aidan’s last molar has still yet to cut through his little gums, consequently his mood and appetite have been less than favorable. He is a cranky, hungry guy who refuses nearly everything we put in front of him. We muddled through the day trying to keep him happy for longer than five seconds in a row.

Tonight I was preforming some of my domestic diva duties in the laundry room and Dad-Oh decided to be “cute” and pelt me in the hinie with a fun size 100 Grand candy bar. Because he’s nice like that! Apparently, putting the “fun” in fun size!  Instead of picking it up and firing it back I continued with my folding duties, about two seconds later a sprinting Aidan-Daidan scoops up the candy bar and takes off running. How the child is 17 months old and already knows that the item inside the package is a heavenly blend of chocolate and caramel goodness, I’ll never know.

Don’t Even THINK about Taking This Away!

Since it was still in its wrapper I didn’t think much of it and since it was giving him momentary happiness I let him keep it. My little stinker was so persistent and determined that he gnawed through the wrapper and began enjoying his sweet treat!

Sweet Victory

Chocolate falls under the dairy food group right? And the crispies are technically grain, so that’s two of the major food groups. Hey! Judge all you want we are officially in survival mode!

What?

That’s how I justify eating a whole box of milk duds at the movies. They don’t call it MILK chocolate for nothing.

Sometimes gnawing through a wrapper to get at chocolate is all that can be done. Other times a mallet and butt rock works nicely. 😈

You are doing an awesome job with your ‘blog 365’ thing. There is no way in the world I could manage to write something everyday. Didn’t the Bible say something about a day of rest?

It probably was just what his aching teeth needed!

Hope those molars break through quickly so he doesn’t eat through your whole stash of candy bars!
