Goodbye 2007, Hello 2008

Posted in Buggle Bite, Motherhood, Parenting at 9:22 pm by Momma

2008 came in with more of a lull than a bang. Last night Dad-Oh and I were trying to remember the last time we attended a late night New Year’s shindig. And the best we could come up with was going to Pioneer Courthouse Square in Portland when we were in college. I’m pretty sure that was the Y2K New Year. So suffice to say the last seven new year’s eves have been rather lack luster!

We did however have a nice fireworks show outside our sun room windows. Every year a house some where below ours puts on two firework shows.  First, the matinée starting around 5 pm, for the youngsters and of course the real deal at midnight. It is amazing how perfect of a view we get. I lay on the couch in the comfort of my nice warm house and enjoy–the 5 pm viewing! The late show woke both Dad-Oh and I up and all I could say is “those damn things better not wake that baby up!” Thankfully, they didn’t!

Today was rather uneventful thanks to the ghost town we live in! It’s hard enough finding things to do on an ordinary day, but darn near impossible on a holiday! We improvised and made it through the day. 😀

I am trying the whole Blog 365 thing. Thanks to Deeder’s Mommy. We’ll see how far I make it! Help keep my motivation up by leaving some love in the comment section, will ya!?

Happy New Year blog land! May 2008 be a year of health, happiness, and splendor!

Yep, I think it was Y2K for me too. I wasn’t in college until 2001 though, nor did I know Daddy yet 😕 I guess I got old before my time!
