Beach Baby

Posted in Buggle Bite, Motherhood, Parenting at 8:30 pm by Momma

Today we spent the morning at Lydgate Park. It is a beautiful beach with a paved walking path, play ground and boulder enclosed Keiki pool. We played on the sand and since we weren’t fully prepared to go for an ocean adventure Aidan ended up doing a little swimming in his clothes. Oh, well…Dad-Oh says I need to be more spontaneous. Whatever! He knew about my type A-ness when he married me! It’s not new news! 😛

They’re Gonna Get Me

So when it came time to leave and Aidan refused to have the sand washed off of him in the cold outside shower, we stripped him down and packed him in the car like this:

Swim Pamper

I wonder if there is such a thing as a white trash Howlie? 😯

He did have fun, so I can’t harp too much I suppose! After the beach we came back to the hotel where Aidan and Dad-Oh had a nap and I laid down by the pool. When they woke up we had a snack and headed down to the sand bottom lagoon Keiki pool. Aidan had a blast throwing sand around and sitting in the shallow water. The whole pool is only about knee deep, which is perfect for a busy toddler!

Weeeeee Daddy!

Tomorrow is our last day here. 😦 Our time here has gone by incredibly quick! I can’t even believe we have been here a week already! We’ll be back to the real world and 50 less degrees by Monday! How many sleepins’ till Kona in February???
