‘Bout That Time

Posted in Buggle Bite, Motherhood, Parenting at 10:34 pm by Momma

No fun tales of baby poo or new tricks tonight. I have spent the last three hours researching convertible car seats. The Buggle has reached his maximum occupancy in his infant carrier, and it’s high time for an upgrade. His carrier is getting to the point where it is quite likely to pull my shoulder right out of its socket! And since that sounds like an ER visit I’d very much like to avoid I spent most of the evening reading every consumer report, every parent review, and crash test rating that Yahoo pulled up for me. I have narrowed it down to the Britax brand. Which is unfortunately no el-cheapo. I decided on this particular brand because of its versatility. Most convertible car seats are outgrown around 40-45 pounds requiring you to purchase an additional booster seat, while the weight limit on these are a whopping 65 pounds! I figure lets skip that step and bite the bullet now.

I am still undecided on which model to buy. I would really like this one, but depending on how customer service replies to my price discrepancy email will probably settle for this less expensive model, that just happens to be on sale, and still make the mortgage!

❓ Any REASONABLE suggestions ❓

Could you go somewhere to look at carseats? Like a Babies R Us? Reading reviews is good but getting to fiddle with them yourself is also good.

I looked the Britax convertables in the Baby Bargains book… it got an “A” except the Wizard model which got an “A-”
The carseat that I bought and love for Deeder got a “D” by these people so the Britax must be pretty good!
