Walk Like a Man

Posted in Baby's First, Buggle Bite, Motherhood, Parenting, Video at 12:28 pm by Momma

I was debating on whether or not to post this just yet, do to my LACK OF COMMENTS. AND just for the record I sent out SEVEN one year montage dvd’s in the mail and if it wasn’t for Great Oma (HI!) I would have to assume that the other six ended up in Timbuktu, because I haven’t received any confirmation that they have arrived. No comments, emails, phone calls…. A little feedback would be nice, people!

Anyway…on with the cuteness.

Dad-Oh downloaded Walk Like A Man on itunes weeks ago, waiting for Momma to create a montage video of The Buggle walking. Last night he was cruising all over the place, so we grabbed the camera. Dad-Oh was just so happening to be eating a dough nut at the very same time. Can we get more perfect motivation?! Yeah, okay judge all you want…so we gave our 13 month old a hunk of maple bar! Watch him try to get a bigger bite than Dad-Oh approves of! So funny!

He’s still got “drunken sailor legs” but he is trying so hard to get it down. He practices like crazy every day. Without our encouragement even! He is ready to give his bruised knees a break! :P

Play House Fun

Posted in Buggle Bite, Motherhood, Parenting at 11:22 am by Momma

This weekend I finally got off my duff and scoured The Buggle’s swing set. It was dirty and filled with an embarrassing amount of cobwebs. I swept every nook and cranny, used the hose to wash away the crud, I even pruned a few branches out of the way! Yep, I’m that good! I brought some of his big boy trucks up onto the landing of the playhouse and he had a blast! :P

Crash

I even lowered one of the steering wheels so he could reach and drive the ship! And that required the use of power tools! Again, that good!

Next Stop….Some Where WARM!

I love this one…

Future Draft Pick

Posted in Baby's First, Parenting at 6:21 am by Momma

Dad-Oh has been waiting way too long for this picture. Between getting home too late, dinner and a cranky Buggle it has taken nearly a month to successfully acquire this prized pic.

Look out NBA Draft 2025!

Slam Dunk

For those of you who don’t still have the NBA draft saved on your DVR…..The Buggle is sporting his new Greg Oden, #52 jersey from GG Bill & Dot. Who is Greg Oden you ask? “Only the greatest draft pick in over ten years!” In a crazy “against the odds” lottery pick he was drafted by The Portland Trailblazers. Can you even believe it?  Yeah, me either! HA!

The Buggle Times: Month Thirteen

Posted in Baby's First, Buggle Times, Motherhood, Parenting at 8:02 pm by Momma

Dear Buggler Boy,

Today you turned thirteen months old. This has been a month full of big changes. This month I saw you change from a baby into a toddler. It nearly happened in one evening. That night you were walking back and forth between the couches. Walking to me across the room, walking like you had been walking all your life. That very same night was when you decided you didn’t need the bee-boo before bed. For the record, little one that’s too much growing up in one day! Your dear ole Momma can’t handle all that big boy-ness all at once. When you woke up the next morning, you were all boy–big boy. It literally happened over night, right before my eyes!

You still have not perfected the art of walking but you get an A for effort! You might not be completely upright just yet, but you are a quick little stinker. You can get from one room to another and up the stairs faster than I can close the fridge! :) Your curiosity and busyness has exploded this month. You can open and close just about everything. You can climb like a little monkey.

Case and point:

Helping With The Chores

I just may lose my job for publishing this one!

Is this Apple Juice?

You have mastered lifting the toilet seat lid, making certain that it won’t come crashing back down on your little noggin. You have some crazy fixation with the Diaper Dekor in your room and you have thrown away many interesting items. Some of your faves: puzzle pieces, lotion, butt cream, shoes, and books. Here is some of your handy work.

Be Gone!

You are still working on mastering sleeping through the night. You are close, but still not there yet. Much to our dismay. You’re on the right track and it shouldn’t be long before you are sawing logs all night long–you ARE your father’s son!

Since you are no longer a bee-boo man you have added cow’s milk to your diet. At first you were a little hesitant and not too sure what to think, but now you slurp it down without hesitation. You have only used a bottle once in your life, so instead of introducing it now you drink all your liquids from a big boy cup. Not even a sippy cup–a glass, just like a big boy! With a straw even! Without a straw you tend to be a bit over zealous with your drinks and end up spitting 90% of it down the front of your shirt. With a straw there is virtually no mess, which Mommy LOVES! :P

Today I set up your little blow up pool, complete with warm hot tub water! :P So after your nap I took you outside and introduced you to your new pool. It of course was a hit. With my luck it’ll rain for the rest of the year and that will be your first and last pool excursion. But hey, it was fun while it lasted!

My Pool

Little Neva had to check things out too:

That’s One Big Water Dish!

This was a very busy month. This is the month my Buggler Boy became a toddler! This morning when you were ever so gracefully lifting the lid to the toilet to give your bottle of Tylenol a swirlie, I said: “Aidan, no no that’s yucky.” And you turned, looked at me, gave a really? look, and gently closed the lid and plopped down and continued playing with your toys! You listened! And OBEYED! I was so proud of you!

No matter how big you get, and no matter what life throws my way I will always have that on the verge of tears pride for you my angel! It’s simply impossible to describe….

Bunches of Love,

Momma

Happy Dance!

Posted in Buggle Bite, Motherhood, Parenting at 7:00 pm by Momma

I have been waiting for this day for nearly thirteen months! Last night was The Buggle’s first time sleeping through the night! It only took one night of the Dad-Oh putting him back to sleep for him to realize the bee-boo is no more! It’s very sad, okay maybe just a little sad…

Even though he slept through without waking up, I woke up like 50 times wondering how much longer before he’d wake up. Errr! Hopefully, by the end of the week that will be long gone, and we’ll all be enjoying an entire night of peaceful sleep!

I heard him making a few sounds around 5:45 this morning, but I just left him alone. I don’t know if he eventually went back to sleep or was just resting because he went silent again before finally calling for me around 6:25 am.

Cross your fingers for a repeat performance tonight!!!

This and That

Posted in Buggle Bite, Motherhood, Parenting at 7:43 pm by Momma

I’ll forgo posting an update about my boobs this time since a dear friends’ boss now thinks she a “perv” for reading my last post on company time! :P

Poor little Buggle had his one year well baby check today. Yes, it is about a month late but his pediatrician has been on vacation and I’d rather wait a month or two than see another Doogie Howser doctor. All went well and The Buggle is right on track developmentally and “exceptionally strong.” Thank goodness Dad-Oh wasn’t there because I am willing to bet the farm that something about “a beast in the middle” would have come out his mouth…

Poor little guy got poked by three different needles with live viruses! :( I don’t think that part will ever get easier for me! It just plain sucks!

Since I haven’t posted a cute picture in a while I will leave you with this one of my boys kicking back and watching a little ESPN after dinner. Does anyone else think Dad-Oh needs to double up on the SPF?

We’re Busy!
